Lions organise family day out

LCI emblem_2C_287+7406HUNDREDS of youngsters from special schools enjoyed a free day out at a heritage railway. The event at Foxfield Railway in Blythe Bridge was organised by Lions Clubs. It attracted up to 500 visitors from all over Staffordshire, South Cheshire and parts of Shropshire. As well as rides on the railway, there were fairground rides, sideshows, donkey rides, and entertainment by a clown. One of the organisers, Rob Sunderland, said: “We do a day out every year for many of the same youngsters at WaterWorld.

But this was for their families too, and the letters of thanks we received, showed how much it was appreciated
